Insurance & Payment

We do not accept insurance to ensure fully personalized, confidential care without restrictions. This allows us to focus on your needs—not insurance limitations.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. It is your responsibility to verify your out-of-network benefits prior to treatment.

Teletherapy

We offer a fully virtual teletherapy service for accessibility and flexibility. Our teletherapy sessions are conducted securely and confidentially for anyone located in Texas, Washington, Illinois, or Vermont. (Maryland coming soon.)

Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act

At Jeong Healing Therapy, we believe in transparency and ensuring you understand the costs of your care. Under the No Surprises Act, which went into effect on January 1, 2022, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for your mental health services.

Good Faith Estimate

If you are uninsured or choose not to use your insurance, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate before you begin services, outlining the expected cost of therapy. This estimate will provide transparency around fees so you can make informed decisions about your care.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time.
The estimate will include expected costs for your therapy sessions based on your treatment plan.
This estimate is not a contract, and you are not obligated to commit to a specific number of sessions.

Your Protections Against Surprise Billing

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charge.
You have 120 days from the date of the bill to initiate a dispute through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).
